A Look at Innovation and Excellence

Attending the Monaco Yacht Show is always a highlight and this year was no exception. The 2024 edition was particularly impressive, with an array of stunning vessels on display, showcasing both the latest in cutting-edge design and a renewed focus on sustainability. Having worked with many shipyards represented at the show, it was gratifying to see yachts we’ve contributed to, such as Special One, Maverick, Moonstone, Lemon Tree and Energy, looking resplendent on the water.

Royal Huisman’s Special One Steals the Show

A key highlight of the show was the surprise debut of Royal Huisman’s Special One, the world’s largest sportfish yacht. This 52m vessel not only sets a new benchmark in sportfishing, but also leads the way in sustainability. It can run on hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), which reduces harmful CO2 emissions by over 90%. This aligns perfectly with the growing focus on environmentally conscious yachting while maintaining the power and luxury that yacht owners expect.

Amels’ Moonstone Shines

Moonstone, a stunning 60m yacht from Amels Limited Editions range, was another highlight of the show. We had the pleasure of working with Amels on this project, and it was a proud moment seeing her featured among their prestigious line-up. Moonstone perfectly blends iconic design with customised interiors, showcasing why Amels remains at the forefront of yacht innovation. The vessel drew a great deal of attention at the show, and for good reason—it’s a superb demonstration of the craftsmanship and luxury Amels is known for world-wide.

Maverick: A New Standard in Explorer Yachts

Another standout project of ours was Maverick, a recently launched 44m yacht from the renowned Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche. This vessel is part of the shipyard’s successful Flexplorer range, featuring designs by Hydro Tec and Francesco Paszkowski. Maverick is engineered for adventure, with its 5,000-nautical-mile range perfect for trans-oceanic cruising. We’re proud to have worked on such an exceptional vessel, bringing our expertise in custom yacht signage to this project, from bow to stern.

Sustainability and Innovation Leading the Charge

Sustainability was a major focus at this year’s show, as seen in groundbreaking projects from Lürssen Yachts and Sanlorenzo. Lürssen Yachts exemplified this commitment with their impressive 122m Kismet, which features an innovative heat recovery system and dynamic positioning technology that allows for electronic anchoring in sensitive marine areas. These advancements showcase Lürssen’s meaningful steps towards reducing emissions and noise pollution, setting a benchmark for the industry. This focus on sustainability aligns with broader market trends, as owners and operators increasingly seek to balance luxury with environmental responsibility.

Similarly, Sanlorenzo’s 50steel series captured the attention of show-goers by offering the world’s first carbon-neutral superyacht. Developed in collaboration with Siemens Energy, it highlights how eco-friendly tech is no longer a distant future but a present-day reality in yacht building.

Additionally, we were pleased to see Lemon Tree, the Sanlorenzo 62 steel yacht, on display. Exhibited by Y.CO and launched in 2024, Lemon Tree demonstrates the continued innovation in sustainable design and luxury, reaffirming our commitment to working on projects that lead the way in modern yachting.
